My Grannie's Go To Bourbon Drink
Updated: Jun 3, 2020

OK, I was going through my grandmother's recipe book. She died a while ago, damn I miss that lady. When I was a kid she used to take me on several trips each summer. One summer we drove across the West Virginia - Pennsylvania area and hit every amusement park. Of course Hershey Park was my absolute favorite, next to Kennywood of course. Back to the recipe. She used to make this a lot. She would let me have a sip, and I thought it was so good, the ginger ale makes easy to drink.
Tall glass required. 1.5 oz. of Bourbon (I really don't measure, half and half works for me), 6 oz. Ginger ale, and 1 lime slice. Stir. Drink. Repeat.
This is great for the summer BBQ! (No drinking and driving. If the BBQ isn't in your back yard or a neighbor's, call an Uber driver.
I write crime fiction horror, thriller, and paranormal novels. My time in the Coast Guard and my degree in Forensic Chemistry helps me create fantastic stories.
If I'm not writing, I am binge watching Netflix and probably drinking whiskey.
